Meteorological seasons are based on set dates, making it easier for scientist to track weather patterns. In the northern hemisphere the seasons are winter; December, January, February; spring; March, April, May; summer; June, July, August and fall is September, October and November. The more recognized spring is the astrological spring. This date goes by the vernal equinox and the date has changed from March 21st to March 20th. The March equinox marks the moment the sun crosses the celestial equator, the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator.
